Hamilton City Council - Arborist

Position Description Hamilton is known for its natural environment, with street and park trees an important feature of the city scape. Our City Parks team is responsible for the physical work on those trees, and is in the market for an Arborist to join our crew.

The role includes the maintenance of established trees across the city, one-off tree removals, routine pruning and the planting of new specimens.

We're after a committed and enthusiastic parks or tree work professional with a recognised arboriculture qualification, relevant experience and competence with the tools of the arboriculture trade.

Hamilton City Council - Aquatics Facilities Manager

Hamilton Pools needs a new leader.

Part of the Hamilton City Council’s Community Group, our operation covers Waterworld – the region’s largest swimming complex – and Gallagher Aquatic Centre.

It’s an exciting time for our pools operation, as we’re currently partway through a significant $10.7M upgrade of Waterworld. When the upgrade is completed, we’ll have modernised our 40-year-old facility substantially and will be lifting our game.

Our Aquatics Facilities Manager will have the ability to inspire and make a difference to a large and diverse team of recreation/swimming industry professionals. Ideally, we want an experienced leisure or sports industry professional with proven experience in facility management and business development.

New Plymouth District Council - Lifeguard

The Todd Energy Aquatic Centre is a thriving and fun-filled facility. As a permanent, full-time, Lifeguard you will provide supervision and customer service to all pool users, ensuring that their visit is not only fun but also safe.

We are looking for an experienced lifeguard to join the team to deliver a range of day-to-day operational activities along with poolside supervision. You will ensure a safe environment for all customers in addition to performing water chemical tests. The key to this role is your ability to communicate to all age groups across the community and have a positive, flexible approach to your work.

Hamilton City Council - Arboriculture Supervisor

Hamilton’s green spaces and natural environment are a key feature of the city’s landscape.

Our City Parks team is responsible for maintaining those trees, and needs an on-the-ground leader to oversee the work across Hamilton.

As our Arboriculture Supervisor, you will manage the workflow of the Arboriculture Team to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard and on time. This role also includes overseeing the appropriate maintenance and use of machinery and equipment. You will keep the Team Leader up to speed on tree projects while also working together in leading and motivating staff.

We're after a committed and enthusiastic tree work professional with a recognised arboriculture qualification and relevant leadership experience.

It’s a tight-knit team and we need someone who works well alongside other parks professionals. You need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with your colleagues to meet deadlines and complete work schedules.

Kapiti Coast District Council - Parks Officer - 12 month Fixed-Term

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individual to join our Parks and Recreation team. You will be part of a fun and dynamic team that is responsible for the development and management of Council's parks and open spaces.

This is a full-time fixed-term position for a period of 12 months.

As a Parks Officer you will have a particular focus on the implementation and maintenance of the recreational Cycleway, Walkway and Bridleway (CWB) network. You will also be responsible for the delivery of large projects such as playground upgrades.

This role provides expertise and advice with regard to best practice for the CWB, the district's parks, reserves and related facilities.
