Hamilton City Council - Lifeguard/Learn to Swim Teacher

Swimming is an important recreation activity for many New Zealanders, and ensuring people are safe and confident in the water is a key focus for Hamilton Pools.

We are currently recruiting for a new and exciting position of Lifeguard/Learn to Swim Teacher. The Lifeguard/Learn to Swim Teacher is a dual position responsible for both supervision to visitors using the pools, and also teaching Learn to Swim classes in an encouraging, safe and professional environment.

Hamilton City Council - Nursery Propagator

Hamilton City Council’s Nursery grows natives and exotic plants for use across the city.

The nursery is staffed by a committed team working together to contribute to the beauty and natural environment of our fast-growing city. The work we do contributes to Hamilton’s parks, bedding displays and the elaborate planting designs at several of our large roundabouts.

We have a vacancy for a passionate and experienced Nursery Propagator to play a key role in the production of quality specimens. Knowledge of native plants is important for this role, but more important is the passion to seek and learn more knowledge. You’ll be out visiting some of Hamilton’s natural locations (Jubilee Bush and Waiwhakareke Natural Heritage Park, for example) in your search for the best possible native species seed to ensure we meet the high standards we set for ourselves.
