Hannah Chapman-Carr has been selected by the Generate Steering Group as the next Generate Chair.

The Steering Group went through an internal process of appointing from within our Steering Group. After the current Chair led discussions with 3 potential applicants, 1 formal application was received. This was forward to the rest of the Steering Group. Hannah was voted in unanimously, and the Steering Group has great faith in her ability to take the group forward.

Jenn Benden (nee Halliday) is stepping aside to allow the next generation of recreation leaders to lead! She will remain on the Steering Group as a member and mentor to the next chair.

Jenn had this to say, “I have been exceedingly amazed at the things we have achieved as a group over the past 4 years. We launched our website, opened in Australia, created sponsorships for students and YPs, began generating revenue, we supported members to achieve ARPro and go on to be recreation superstars… to name a few. I am proud to see the advancements we have made as a voluntary organisation – and I have full confidence Hannah will continue to run the organisation from strength to strength."

"I’d like to thank a few key change makers and supporters from my years in this position: Michele Frey, Geoff Canham, Mark Bowater, Esther Bukholt, Eve Craker (Australia Generate), Mark Band, Digby White, Gil Penalosa."

"Thanks for challenging and encouraging me. I’ve grown 10-fold in this time – learning technical and leadership skills I will take with me into my career. I look forward to contributing to Generate Network in the future as a member.”
