Tauranga City Council Long Term Plan Submission - December 2023

Recreation Aotearoa welcome the opportunity to provide input into the Tauranga City Long Term Plan.

In this submission, we:

Outline the health, social, and economic benefits of recreation for individuals and communities, our strategy Te Whai Oranga, and the need for improved access to recreation for people with disabilities.
Give an overview of the Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment’s report into urban green spaces.
Support Tauranga City Council’s investment in recreation.
