ABOUT THE ROLE – NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA

You will provide support in training programs and plant operations district wide. Supervision and leadership are two critical functions of the role, ensuring team members are effectively supervised, service levels are maintained, and facility presentation is to the highest standard. You will be pivotal in ensuring we retain a high performing team of lifeguards at the AC Baths and the Turangi Turtle Pools, and deliver an outstanding level of customer service. You will assist in inducting new staff members and you will be a coach and mentor to our lifeguards and senior lifeguards.

This position is deemed a safety sensitive position and will require a pre-employment drug test.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI  MĀTOU I TĒNEI MOMO TANGATA

You’ll have a passion for aquatics and sharing your knowledge and experience with customers and colleagues to improve water safety. Leading an energetic and passionate team, you will have experience in a similar role and have proven staff leadership and supervision skills.

You will come with industry knowledge of plant operations and facilities, an understanding of occupational Health and Safety legislation and experience in dealing with customers. A current Pool Lifeguard Practicing Certificate, First Aid Certificate and other industry qualifications are required in this role.

Please note our pools operate seven days a week so flexibility is required as the role includes early mornings, late nights and weekend work at times.
 

• Provide support to District Pools Operational Support with plant operation and water testing
• Deliver training programmes for AC Baths, Turangi and Mangakino pools
• Oversee daily operations at AC Baths
• Supervise AC Baths Senior Lifeguards
