Kuruho Wereta

Kuruho is of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, Te Āti Awa and Ngāti Toa Rangatira descent.

Mahi raranga (weaving) and whakairo rakau (wood carving) has been instrumental in forming who Kuruho is today.

Woven and now carved out, Kuruho has found himself working in environmental and recreation sectors across Aotearoa. His mahi, and the way it benefits people and nature, is what keeps him motivated.

Kuruho integrates mahi toi and tikanga in his day-to-day work. He enjoys working with rangatahi and helping people, instilling mātauranga Māori values into their worlds.
